HOLE BY HOLE DESCRIPTION
-
PAR: 4 YARD: 463
Description: Challenging par 4, slight dog-leg left. Green nests in a group of grassed dunes protected by three bunkers. Longer tee shots can play straight away, but reachable “burn” crosses the landing area around 265 yards out. Safer play for shorter hitters is over the trees on left to a welcoming fairway.
-
PAR: 5 YARD: 605
Straight away, but long, par 5. Although the lake on right is reachable for longer hitters, you must avoid play to left which is out-of-bounds entire length of fairway. Smart play is to lay up the second shot short of the “Charca del Diablo” front of green on right, then pitch to large green sloping right-to-left.
-
PAR: 3 YARD: 174
The “Island Green”. Not much “local knowledge” needed here except to “keep it on the island”. Large, flat green with tricky, subtle contours.
-
PAR: 5 YARD: 525
Down into the valley with lake on left. Second shot uphill through the gap to a shallow stingy green. Reachable for longer hitters but must be played to right. Extreme risk front of green on left.
-
PAR: 4 YARD: 422
Short but narrow par 4. Aim between fairway bunkers for opening to green. Green sits in shallow grassy dunes with punishing vertical sod faced bunkers guarding the left side.
-
PAR: 4 YARD: 375
Slight dog-leg right, short par 4 playing to an accepting, subtly contoured green “down in the valley”. Landing area much wider than it appears from tees. Aim tee shot at “colorful” house on the horizon. No advantage to cut the corner on right. Longer hitters can take advantage here but must be accurate off tee.
-
PAR: 3 YARD: 166
Short par 3 across valley to a large two-tiered green protected by bunkers left and right. False front on green lures short hit but could result in lengthy second shot recovery from the valley.
-
PAR: 4 YARD: 420
Fairly straight away medium length par 4. Play is to the right of the large almond tree to a wide two level fairway. Second shot up to a large elevated multi-tiered green with deep bunker guarding the middle of the approach. Balls missing green on right will be long gone into a deep canyon. Plenty of room on left. Catch bunkers surround green for recovery of slightly errant shots. This hole plays longer than it measures.
-
PAR: 4 YARD: 493
PAR: 5 YARD: 622The famous, one-of-a-kind, “Fork-in-the Road” golf hole. Some days it is a down wind, relatively short par 5 playing the left fairway to an elevated two-tiered green that opens to the generous second landing area. Reachable in two for longer hitters, but not advised. Some days it will be played as a long uphill par 4 playing the right fairway to a large green guarded by two extremely penalizing vertical sod faced bunkers left-center. Tee shots are similar for either the 4 or 5 par set-up. Hit tee shot to uphill, very wide, common landing area. Aim play to left side for par 5 and right side for par 4.
-
PAR: 5 YARD: 578
Dog-leg left par 5 to semi-hidden green. Aim tee shot between two small trees in landing area to set up second shot to green protected by row of Sea Grapes on left. Although reachable in two for longer hitters, a generous lay-up area fronts the green for a short chip or run-up shot to large multi-tiered green that falls away from front to back. Deep vertical sod-faced bunkers protect left side of green. Par is a good score here.
-
PAR: 3 YARD: 283
Long par 3 to shallow but very wide undulating green. Plenty of fairway area in front of the green for shorter hitters. Catch bunkers behind green will snatch balls hit through green and allow recovery shots.
-
PAR: 4 YARD: 435
A very spectacular setting for a short par 4 golf hole. Play from cliffside to cliffside across an ocean cove 200 feet below. Fairway is set up to allow players to engage their strength and cut the corner as much as they dare. Green is elevated and hangs on the cliff. This two-tiered green, high in front, low in rear is a double green shared with Hole #14.
-
PAR: 5 YARD: 588
A lengthy downwind par 5 playing through a grove of Coconut Palms located in the first landing area. Carry over native dune area required between landing areas and again from landing area (2) to green. Small, contoured green rests on cliff to rear. Long hitters may want to try to reach this green in two, but the small green target will make a lay-up play for par a good choice.
-
PAR: 4 YARD: 443
A demanding par 4 playing into the wind. Play over native dune area to generous fairway which runs along the cliff on the left. Play to right, away from the ocean, may end up in undulating dune area on right side of fairway. Shot across shallow valley of native dunes to two-tiered green, low in front, higher in rear, hugging the cliff. Shared green with Hole #12.
-
PAR: 4 YARD: 420
A medium length par 4 , into the wind. Wide open fairway is better played to right center for best approach to green. Green sits on lake to left with vertical sod faced bunker protecting left side.
-

PAR: 4 YARD: 415
Short par 4 along cliffs into a prevailing left-right quartering wind. Aim to left of large Pine trees for best shot to green. Green looks flat but will fool you.
-
PAR: 3 YARD: 200
No description needed here. This 200 yard, par 3 is full carry across ocean cove to a two-tiered green. Green looks small from tee but will accept well hit tee shot. Plenty of open fairway to right for the timid.
-
PAR: 4 YARD: 490
Finishing hole that plays longer than it measures uphill to Clubhouse. Keep tee shot to right of old “ruins” or almost certainly lose ball. Aim toward tall Palm tree on horizon and expect good results. Second shot is uphill to a large multi-tiered green partially hidden in some large grassed dunes. Best to play shot to stop below flag.
